With more than 15 years of experience in using somatic psychotherapy to heal trauma, I have cultivated a deep passion for working with adult individuals who have lived through complicated, severe, and often persistent traumatic experiences. Despite the past, we can choose to navigate our lives by traveling a path of deep self-reflection and growth, even (or perhaps especially) when this path holds challenges and pain that feel insurmountable. I strongly value my own personal and therapeutic growth-journey as a complement to my professional knowledge, and fundamentally believe that as therapists we have a responsibility to engage in our own deep self-reflective work.

This is the heart of the therapeutic work. The focus is on healing nervous system disruptions through tracking and awareness of body, mind, and emotion. Uses specific somatic techniques to find the places we are stuck, and process & resolve trauma.

Uses prescribed sublingual ketamine as a tool to support and assist the somatic processing of deep and painful traumas, emotions and patterns. *Intramuscular Ketamine administration is an available add-on service, but is not the typical offering Appropriateness for this work is assessed on a case by case basis. Only available in person.

Uses cannabis as a tool to aid in the somatic processing of trauma, nervous system disruptions, and difficult emotional and mental states. Only available in-person.

Psilocybin Assisted Psychotherapy is now legal in the state of Colorado under very specific conditions, licenses, and locations. Some Beyond the Mind Psychotherapy practitioners expect to be offering this service at outside locations later in 2025. Please reach out for specifics.
In Colorado, Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy generally refers to the use of legal state approved psilocybin under the Natural Medicine Program. Beyond the Mind is not an approved Healing Center, and is therefor unable to offer Psilocybin Assisted Psychotherapy services at this time. Currently only Ketamine or Cannabis are available.

Psychedelic Preparation
Preparation is the process of preparing for a therapeutic psychedelic therapy experience. It may include medical and mental health screening and other exploration and documentation needed to ensure that a candidate is safe and appropriate to move forward with scheduling Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy. Preparation is also a therapeutic process of getting to know the provider, creating safety in relationship, and preparing mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for the pending psychedelic experience. Generally, 1-3 preparation sessions are standard, but are subject to change based on individual needs and circumstances.
Psychedelic Integration
Integration is the process of meeting for therapeutic debrief and discussion after the Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy experience is complete. For every psilocybin session, at least one integration session is required. With Ketamine/Cannabis Assisted Psychotherapy, integration is highly recommended, but may be combined with the next KAP/CAP session on a case-by-case basis. Integration is an important opportunity to revisit the psychedelic experience, make meaning, and bring forward the growth and learning gained during the administration session into one’s life in a meaningful way. Some people may integrate for many weeks or even months, while others may only need/want 1-2 integration sessions. It is often thought that the integration sessions are key to creating pathways for lasting positive impact from the Psychedelic Assisted Therapy session.
There are no psychedelic substances taken during a preparation or an integration session, and these are usually scheduled for 60-minutes at your standard therapy rate. These sessions are encouraged in-person, when possible, but can be scheduled remote if needed.

This type of service can be offered in both individual and group format.
Individual consultation is generally offered for 60-minutes and could be scheduled at various intervals, as-needed, (weekly/bi-weekly/monthly).
Group consultation requires a group of at least six clinicians, and generally runs for 2-hours every other week.
